Various cultural, historical, religious, and social activities are held over course of the whole month of October to mark the festivities. the Kasanggayahan Festival is one the biggest celebration in the Sorsogon. The people of Sorsogon started celebrating this festival since 1974 when Sorsogon was promoted as a province. This festival focuses on the abundant havesting of crops in Sorsogon.

The Pantomina is actually the "dance of the doves", it was then know through the bikol region as "Sinalampati"(salampati is bikol for dove) before the coming of the Spanish colonizer.
